Ingredients needed

For Grinding:
Coconut_Shredded – 40 Grams
Fried gram / split / Roasted gram / Pottukadalai -15 Grams
Green Chilli Raw / Green Chilli Peppers – 5 Grams
Curry leaves – 2 Sprig
Garlic Raw / Garlic Cloves – 1 Count
Ginger Raw / Ginger Slices ( 1″ dia) – 2 Count

To Temper:
Canola Oil – 0.5 TableSpoon
Salt – 1 Teaspoon
Mustard seeds – 5 Grams
Urad dal / white lentils/ Vigna mungo raw/ Uludham parupu – 5 Grams

The Preparation Methods:

STEP 1: Grind coconut, green chillies, fried gram, ginger, garlic and curry leaves together with needed water and salt.

STEP 2: After you can rinse the mixie and add little more water.

STEP 3: Heat a tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add urad dal. when it turns golden brown, then add curry leaves and pour it the chutney. Serve it with Idly varieties, dosa varieties, ven pongal or adai also.

Tips:
1> Always use fresh grated coconut to make tasty.
2> More coconut less pottukadalai/Fried gram is also good for this.
3> Use green chillies and always use less green chillies for white color chutney and increase the spiciness by tempering with more red chillies.
4> And Ready made flakes or desiccated flakes or frozen grated coconut will work but don’t expect taste and color.
