Ingredients needed

For Idiyappam:
Rice Flour – 75 Grams
Salt – 1 Teaspoon
Water – 50 Milli Litre (ML)

To tempering:
Coconut_Shredded – 30 Grams
Mustard seeds – 2 Grams
Urad dal – 2 Grams
Onions – 10 Grams
Red Chilli – 5 Grams
Canola Oil – 0.5 TableSpoon
Channa dal / Kadalai Parupu – 5 Grams
Coriander Leaves / Cilantro – 1 Sprig
Curry leaves – 1 Sprig
Cashewnuts – 5 Grams

The Preparation Methods:

Step 1: In a pan heat the oil and add cashew nuts and fry them till they turn light brown.
Step 2: Drain out the nuts and then in the same pan add mustard seed and red chilies and fry for 1-2 minutes.
Step 3: Then add chana dal and urad dal and fry them for 1-2 minutes until they turn brown in colour.
Step 4: Once desired colour of the dals is obtained, add chopped onion, make slightly color changes, add curry leaves and the drained cashew nuts back into the pan.
Step 5: Fry the mixture for 1 minute and then add shredded coconut into the pan and mix it properly.
Step 6: Sauté the mixture for 2 minutes on medium flame until the color of the coconut start turning light brown.
Step 7: Add some salt to the mixture as per the taste and mix it properly.
Step 8: Now to add the cooked idiyappam to the coconut mixture and evenly mix the sevai and coconut. garish coriander leaves on it.
