Ingredients needed

Chicken Pieces- 200 grams
Onion: 15 grams
Tomato : 15 grams
Turmeric powder – 0.25 tablespoon
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Cliantro/ Coriander leaves – 1 sprig
Coconut Shredded – 20 grams

Masala Spices:
Coriander Powder : 1 tablespoon
Cumin Seeds Powder: 0.5 tablespoon
Pepper Powder: 0.5 tablespoon
Red Chilli powder: 1 tablespoon
oil – 1 tablespoon

Grind:
Ginger Slices – 3
Garlic cloves: 2
Cinnamon: 0.25 tablespoon
Cardamon: 0.25 tablespoon
Cloves: 0.25 tablespoon

The Preparation Methods:

STEP 1: Grind ginger, garlic, cardamom pods, cinnamon and cloves to a fine paste. Set it aside. In a mixing bowl, add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, and cumin powder.
STEP 2: Sprinkle water and mix well to form a smooth paste. Now add the chicken pieces to it and combine well. Set aside. Meanwhile heat oil in a pan, and then add the chopped onions.
STEP 3: Once onions turn light brown, add the ground ginger garlic paste and stir well. Cook until the raw smell of the paste goes away. Then add the marinated chicken pieces and stir well. Once the chicken is half-cooked, then add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, curry leaves, and salt. Stir well.
STEP 4: Add sufficient amount of water say 2 cups and cook well. Once the oil starts leaving to its sides, simmer the flame.
STEP 5: Now add the ground coconut paste and cook for about 5 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off.
Now, Chicken Kuzhambu/Chicken Curry is ready!
