Ingredients needed

Rava / Semolina – 75 Grams
Curd – 3 TableSpoon
Salt – 1 Teaspoon
Water – as required

Mustard seeds – 2 Grams
Urad dal – 2 Grams
Channa dal – 5 Grams
Cashewnuts / Nuts – 3 Grams
Green Chilli – 5 Grams
Curry leaves – 2 Sprig
Coriander Leaves – 1 Sprig
Canola Oil – 1 TableSpoon
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda Salt – 0.25 Teaspoon (a pinch)

The Preparation Methods:

Step 1: Combine the semolina, curd, salt together in a bowl. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
Step 2: Heat the remaining 1 tbsp of oil in a small pan and add the urad dal, chana dal and mustard seeds.
When the seeds crackle, add green chillies, cashewnuts and curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.
Step 3: Pour the tempering over the semolina batter and mix well.
Step 4: Add the baking soda and sprinkle a little water over it, when the bubbles form mix it gently.
Step 5: Pour spoonfuls of the batter into greased idli moulds and steam for 8 to 10 minutes.
Step 6: Serve hot with a chutney of your choice.
